OUR HISTORY Mom's Time Out was founded by Shawna H.
and Rebecca B.
Shawna and Rebecca met in November 1999 in another mothers group. In October 2003 we started a sister chapter.
After an amazingly stressful year we ultimately realized the national organization was not going to follow it's
own rules and we decided we'd had enough. However, we had a great group of members and an active schedule so we
decided to create our own organization.
In October 2004, we launched "Mothers Helping Mothers." After receiving some negative input about the name, several
months later we became "MOM'S TIME OUT." And here we are - coming up on our 7th anniversary!!!

OUR MISSION
MOM'S TIME OUT - a non-profit group for
Utah mothers experiencing the isolation that can come from moving to Utah, altering a career to care for children, or not
being part of the dominant Utah culture. We are dedicated to creating a community within a community where Utah mothers
can find support and friendship.
OUR BELIEFS
*Loving mothers need a break. We believe taking
a break and nurturing the parts of our lives that may have been pushed aside when we became caregivers makes us better mothers.
*Parenting is the hardest job in the world.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of intelligent, vibrant, diverse women who are open to all
ideas, beliefs and experiences. We are all unique, yet we all have mothering in common. We believe loving
mothers need a break.
|
WHAT ARE WE?
Mom's Time Out is a local organization for
mothers seeking playgroups, meetings, childrens outings, a coffee group, play groups, friendship, a sense of connection with
other mothers and for Utah mothers looking for groups and a community in which they feel at home.
